Quickies is Live Girls! trademark event and longest running program. Volume 11 features plays from around the U.S., including local playwrights Kimber Lee, Darian Lindle, Pamela Hobart Carter and Sherry Narens. The festival features local directors and actors and short dance pieces by local choreographers between plays. From a plastic bride and groom that spring to life in Topper and a boy who inexplicably does not speak in The Ventriloquist to a prom dance-party extravaganza in A Series of Unremarkable Events, Quickies Volume 11 is sure to satisfy. Made possible by sponsorships from the UW Ethnic Cultural Center and Office of Minority Affairs and Diversity and The City of Seattle Office of Arts & Cultural Affairs.
The line-up features:
The Pick-up by Trista Baldwin
A Series of Unremarkable Events by Darian Lindle
Giving Up the Ghost by Lauren Yee
Doors and Tunnels by Sherry Narens
Notes on Drowning: For the Man Who Could Not Make the Journey by Jen Silverman
The Ventriloquist by Pamela Hobart Carter
Topper by Kimber Lee
