Call for submissions! Cupcake Reading Series

LG! celebrates new works by women this October with its Cupcake Reading Series of unproduced works. The Cupcake Reading Series helps female playwrights with the development process by producing a staged reading and talk-back of their work. Plays selected will include those almost ready for production as well as early drafts being heard out loud for the first time. This year’s Cupcake Reading Series will take place on Sunday afternoons and Monday evenings in conjunction with
Theatre Puget Sound’s 2nd Annual ArtsCrush Festival.

 

Submission Guidelines:

Playwrights may submit up to 3 full-length or one act plays total. We are not seeking shorts or 10 minute pieces at this time.

For plays not yet completed, you may submit a synopsis or a sample.

Plays submitted should be sent as attachments in Word or PDF format .

Please send all submissions to submissions@lgtheater.org

In the body of your email please introduce yourself! We are always excited about meeting new playwrights! You may also include: your bio as a playwright or resume, and any previous production history for plays submitted.

All submissions will receive a reply by as to whether or not we can use your piece(s) in the Bakery series.

Deadline for submissions is July 25th. Playwrights will receive a response by August 31st.
