When Live Girls! theater commissioned up and coming local playwright Darian Lindle to create a Science Fiction play with the potential to become a recurring theatrical event, SILON, the first story of The Secret and Impossible League of the Noösphere was born. Drawing on the real stories and personalities of historical figures such as Ada Lovelace, Nikola Tesla, and Lord Byron, Ms. Lindle has created a fictional universe where the concept of the Noösphere or the “sphere of human thought” has fully manifested as a living growing place. Charged with protecting it from those that would tamper with and destroy it, our secret and impossible league travels within the Noösphere and through time in this wildly imaginative world. Don’t miss this chance to take a sneak peek into the adventures of the league and share feedback to help shape the final production!

Layer Cake is a program that helps playwrights with specific projects that Live Girls! has committed to steward all the way to full production. The Layer Cake program provides playwrights with consistent long term support for their projects including private workshop time, dramaturgical assistance and public readings with audience feedback sessions. Our audiences also have the unique opportunity to be directly involved in the shaping of new plays that they know will be part of future Live Girls! seasons.
