Turning 16 might be sweet, but it’s no time to play it safe, so for the 16th edition of Quickies, we went all in and commissioned three bold short plays from local female playwrights exploring themes of risk and reward. We also chose a fearless few from hundreds of brave new works submitted by daring dramatists nationwide. Quickies Volume 16 brings these bold stories of risk and reward together into one daredevil evening!

This year’s Quickies risks it all as characters struggle with circumstances out of their control. A mysterious box causes quite a commotion among the patrons of a restaurant, passengers attempt to board a flight to an unexpected location, lonely hearts struggle to connect despite faulty technology, and a surprise guest arrives to salvage a nightmare trip to Disneyland. Are the rewards worth the risks? Live Girls! dares you to come find out!
