More about the Plays-

Snapshot gives us a compassionate glimpse into the world of a small family making the best of a difficult situations. Recently divorced and unemployed, Adam, the father of two young children is having a tough time of it. When he receives more bad news he finds that his family and friends pull together in unexpected ways to help. A short play that spans many years, Spotlight helps us see the best of people in the worst of times.

In The News Channel, a young woman takes control of her life, with a little nudge from fate and an inspiring dream. Jessica has had enough of old her job, her unappreciative parents, and the terrible news she hears all the time. When she proposes a news channel that will only feature good news, she is hired as the lead anchorwoman. Though she has to fight to protect her new position, Jessica prevails, succeeding professionally and personally

More about Live Girls!

Live Girls! is a Seattle theater company dedicated to producing and developing new plays by women since 1999.

The Cupcake Reading Series is a staple of LG!’s Bakery Play Development program, which helps female playwrights by providing resources like staged readings, talk-backs and new play commissions. With intimate readings followed by talk-backs, the Cupcake Reading Series gives audiences a chance to get to know the work of exciting up and coming playwrights as well as an opportunity to be directly involved in the shaping of new plays.
