Live Girls! is proud to reintroduce audiences to our newly expanded play development program. In the LG! Bakery, Live Girls! works directly with playwrights to provide resources, readings, workshops and new play commissions.  Various events throughout the year provide the public a chance to be part of the new play development process. Layer Cake Workshops November 2018 line up coming soon!
This Bakery program develops plays that Live Girls! has already committed to produce in the future including commissioned work.  We  work with each writer or team of writers to develop a workshop plan including public presentations  and sneak peeks of the works in progress. Live Girls! takes on 1-2 of these projects at a time and keeps our fans updated about their progress.

Cupcake Reading Series – October 2018
The Cupcake Reading Series happens at least once a year and provides audiences a chance to get to know the work of established and up and coming playwrights as well as an opportunity to be directly involved in the shaping of new plays. Music stand readings are presented with a talkback after, and YES, actual cupcakes will be served!
