The Layer Cake Workshop is a program that helps playwrights with specific projects that Live Girls! has committed to fully produce.  With intimate readings followed by talk-backs, Layer Cake Readings give audiences a unique opportunity to be directly involved in the shaping of new plays that they know will be part of future Live Girls! seasons.

SILON: SciFi by Darian Lindle

Live Girls! Theater has commissioned up and coming local playwright Darian Lindle to create a Science Fiction play with the potential to become a recurring theatrical event and SILON, the first story of The Secret and Impossible League of the Noösphere was born. Be there as we present the most recent iteration of this exciting, new show.

Triggered by a conversation between S.P. Miskowski and Live Girls! Artistic Director Meghan Arnette about the changing cultural identity of Seattle, Emerald City is a haunting love note/ break up letter to the city. Miskowski artfully connects the past and the present as she weaves together history and a personal tale of longing, urban identity and change.
